I’ve added two more keys to the Key Collection. These were acquired in the last few years. The Tillotson ‘Arched’ Camelback from around 1865 was grouped with a turn-of-the-century relay and sounder on EBay with a very reasonable buy-it-now price. I think I snapped it up within the first hour of listing. Condition is excellent with great farm-fresh patina.
The Greeley & Co ‘Victor’ key from 1885-1887 sits on a home-made KOB made of three thin layers of panel board. The wiring between key and sounder is embedded between the layers with two terminals on top. It’s a pretty clean installation. Since I can’t get to the wiring, I’ve added a piece of wire to short out the sounder to use the key.
