Pre-1918 Homebrew Double-lever

Here’s the bug that is currently in the bug position on the operating desk.  It’s an early homebrew version of a Double-Lever that was later converted to a single lever.   Based on the design cues, I’m thinking this is pre-1918, but of course there’s no way to be sure.  All of the parts are nickel plated and the craftsmanship is top notch.   It’s temperamental on the air about 10% of the time due to the adjustments coming loose.  As a result I often check them on-the-fly while sending.   When it is behaving it sends great code.   Click on the image to be brought to this bug’s detail page.  This key has also been uploaded into the collection.

If we don’t QSO on the air before hand, I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
